ADIABATIC PROJECTION METHOD

The adiabatic projection method is a first principles method for scattering and reactions. The method divides the calculation into two steps.  Euclidean time projection and Monte Carlo simulations are first utilized to construct an ab initio low-energy cluster Hamiltonian called the adiabatic Hamiltonian. Then the adiabatic Hamiltonian is used to extract scattering phase shifts and/or reaction amplitudes.
